The weekend took place at the end of September 2012.
Also this year the introduction weekend was a success. With approximately 80 attending members of which 55 new members, it was the perfect opportunity to get to know the members and the society better.
After a good meal, supplied by a mobile snack bar, we opened the evening with a general welcome speech. This allowed the Investment groups to introduce themselves. Afterwards we did some introductory games so new members got to know each other. Finally we concluded with a camp fire. It was a well succeeded evening.
The next day we had a busy schedule. We started with a GPS game where members had to make pictures of other teams to score point while they moved to a general point indicated by the GPS system. The result was teamwork and competitive play. Afterwards members had the choice to go to the fair, visit the castle of Helmond or going back to the accommodation to play some sport activities. After having a Chinese meal, we could start with the poker tournament. After hours of social and competitive play, Chris de Groot turned out to be the winner. The members who did not like playing poker or who were out of the game enjoyed the campfire. Then we went to Someren to visit some bar’s which unfortunately closed at 2 am.
The last day was cleaning day, which happened efficiently as a result of motivated members and teamwork. We finished at 13:00 ready to depart. Concluding it was a very successful weekend.
